Welcome to Hyperpolyglot, a language learning application developed and operated by The Anemone Lab. By using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Hyperpolyglot. By using the app, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
Accounts are created via Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or email/password registration. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Hyperpolyglot provides language learning through AI-generated translations, native-sounding text-to-speech audio, and spaced repetition across 30+ languages. The app offers multiple study modes including audio playlists, flashcard review, and active recall exercises with your device's microphone.
Translations are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or unnatural phrasing. Text-to-speech audio is generated by third-party providers. You should not rely on AI-generated translations for critical, official, medical, legal, or other binding purposes. The Anemone Lab is not responsible for any consequences arising from reliance on AI-generated content.
Hyperpolyglot offers auto-renewing subscriptions via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Prices and trial durations are displayed in the app and may vary by region.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can cancel anytime through your device settings (App Store or Google Play). Refunds are not provided except as required by applicable law.
Free users can generate a limited number of language cards. A subscription is required to unlock unlimited generation and the full feature set.
You retain ownership of any text you input into the app. By using the app, you grant The Anemone Lab a limited license to process your text through third-party AI services solely for the purpose of providing translations and audio to you.
We collect and process data necessary to provide the service, including authentication data, your language cards and preferences, usage statistics, and anonymized crash reports. For full details, please see our Privacy Policy.
You may not use the app for any illegal purpose, to generate or distribute illegal, hateful, or harmful content, or to abuse the AI services in any way. The Anemone Lab reserves the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.
The app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The Anemone Lab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app. In no event shall The Anemone Lab's total liability exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
The Anemone Lab reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of material changes through the app.
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France.
